The visual mapping process is an integral part of ‘green area meetings’ and is used for communication between teams, shifts and departments. Teams are trained and empowered to create and manage their own communication boards and visual controls both in their workplace and on their equipment.
Visual boards often contain team pictures, efficiency measurements, schedules, action lists, continuous improvement ideas and social information.
